SPIRITUAL NUGGETS
What Kind Of Church Are You?
In the book of Revelation JESUS talks about seven different kinds of churches Revelation 2-3. Even
though JESUS is talking to the church itself, you can take each one of those churches and apply to ones
self and see what kind of church you are. The building itself is not a church, it is the people inside the
church that makes it an active church. JESUS addresses each church according to it's sin nature. It was
only two righteous churches, are you one of them? Ephesus was a backsliding church. Smyrna was a
persecuted church (which was one of the righteous churches). Pergamos was a compromising church. In
other words you will agree with anything even though it's wrong. Thyatira is a tolerant church Philadelphia is
a faithful church (which was the other righteous church) Sardis is a dead church. Laodiceans is a lukewarm
church. Now what kind of church are you? When you read the book of Revelation, JESUS had some good
things and some bad things to say about each church. When you stand before JESUS is heaven will HE be
saying good things or bad things about you? I pray that we all will be like Smyrna standing strong and don't
give into the hatred that others have toward GOD. And also be like the church of Philadelphia a faith
church always depending on JESUS for everything. So think real good about Revelation 2-3 and see what
kind of church you are to see what kind of spiritual changes you need to make.
God Bless You
